Some Kind of Saint

Some Kind of Saint explores death, nature, and spirituality through quiet ritual gestures. The images reference ancient funerary practices, including the placing of coins on the eyes of the dead, and a temporary shrine formed from plants gathered from the surrounding landscape. A body appears, rests, and then disappears, leaving only a trace. The work reflects on death as a passage rather than an ending, where the human form briefly aligns with land, belief, and ritual before returning to nature.
